It’s that time again; the Welfare to Work Convention 2008 is rapidly approaching.  The Convention is the premier annual event for all those involved in delivering support and advice to people who are out of work. This year 1,000 delegates from across the United Kingdom will gather to hear the latest developments and best practice case studies.

Welfare to Work Convention 2008 will bring together policy makers and practitioners to discuss and debate the latest developments in welfare reform. Through a mix of in-depth policy sessions and case studies the convention will provide the opportunity for practitioners and policy makers to share experiences on the challenges and opportunities of integrating skills and employment, delivering a reformed welfare state, closing the gaps between the most disadvantaged groups by making work pay, reducing child poverty and empowering local areas to play a greater role in reintegrating people back into the work force.
